Join the Board
Our board members help to build a community free from sexual assault/abuse and intimate partner violence. Their dedication and leadership are crucial to our agency’s success.
Meet Lumina Alliance Board of Directors here.
Board Committees
The Executive Committee addresses special issues, including the hiring, review, and compensation of the Chief Executive Officer.
The Internal Committee provides fiscal oversight of Lumina Alliance through the review of reports, the creation of policies and recommendations to the Board of Directors and staff, and oversight of People & Culture issues.
The Audit Committee provides oversight of the annual auditing process and reports.
The External Committee supports the Board of Directors and staff with fundraising, events, and outreach.
The Governance Committee reviews and recommends changes to the agency bylaws, Board policies, and procedures as needed. They also provide oversight of Board of Director recruitment, onboarding, and training.
Lumina Alliance is committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all clients, board members, staff, and volunteers feel respected and valued. We accept and celebrate all ages, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities, incomes, immigration statuses, occupations, and religions. We respect the value that diverse life experiences bring to our board and leadership and we strive to have a board that reflects the diversity of the community of survivors that we serve.
Lumina Alliance needs committed community members to serve on our Board of Directors and Board Committees. If you care about our mission and want to contribute your time and leadership, please email [email protected] or [email protected] to connect with our current leadership and see if this opportunity is right for you. The guidance, experience, and input provided by an effective Board of Directors is an integral part of our capacity-building process and helps to ensure our long-term sustainability.
