The increasing sexualization of the bi woman

Abstract

The 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS), reported that 74.9% of bisexual women will be confronted with sexual violence in their lifetime (CDC, 2010).

The LGBTQ+ community is already more likely to experience sexual violence, but thepercentage of bisexual women affected is almost double compared to other LGBTQ+communities (CDC, 2021). Why is there such a large discrepancy of those who will experienceviolence, and how will it impact their lives?
